The lovely "Love Train" video...

Probably the most interesting thing, about domain extensions, are the activities of the supporting communities of the domain extensions.
It basically does not matter, how your domain extension looks like, for it to be successful:
What depends and matters, is how it is promoted.
Follow the history of .com, and you will understand, how and why it got strong and popular.
You can follow the history of promotion and forum-support of any domain extension, and you might be able to discover parallels of smart endeavours, time (-line) and success. (Only love, provided by a fan community, is not enough, to make a domain extension succesfull. See .mobi, for example. It is viable, respectively still alive, because of the love it gets, but to be able to be sucessful, it will need some more support, by the powerful companies, that are supposed to be backing it up. And so, same with .tel...)
Basically, it is always common sense, that saves you, a project, or anything in progress that happen to be in a awkward situation.

What counts, are costly and smart pomoting, time and common sense, that must always be used.
The non usage of common sense and brains, it the death to anything.
The non usage of money, won't help promote, because promoting costs.
The cultivation of plein stupidity may be bad, in times, may be good in other times, because people are sometimes stupid, and trained by media and advertising, not to think, but only to consume, what is offered. The language of stupidity is a language, mankind has learned over the years, and understands. Whatever way you are able to make your self understood: You can earn money, if people understand, what you are selling.

The mixture, of intelligence, stupidity, sex, common sense, etc., is what sells.
Try to sell a perfect and usefull product, only by explaining how it functions, and for it is good: Consumers are not used, only to get dry facts served. They are spoiled, and used to get a daily dosis of adverts, that contain sex, crazyness, stunning effects, etc., and where they do not have to think, but only consume.

And now, here you are with the dot tel domain, in our world today: How are you going to sell it?
The „Love Train“ was popular, because it is funny and sexy, and only explained a minimum of the technology, idea, and features about .tel.
If you will, the „Love Train“ is a promotion video for dummies, that just want a good lough, and some sexual stimulation. Well, the „Love Train“ did the trick, and worked for a short while, and only for a few.
But who are the consumers of .tel?...: All sorts of people and groups. Speak to them (and about their needs and dreams) individually. Make ten completly different videos, addressed to ten different groups of consumers...
.
Anyway:
Here is the code for implementing the (premium qualitiy version of the) video within your blog (however, it is still a stunner and a eye catcher, and nevertheless, a lot of fun):
(Just copy and paste...):

SEO boosting with .tel

I am quite confident, that it works: better results with multiple same
keywords / multiplying the same keyword within the header of telproxy.
I studied three examples from Shahid, which he posted in the Telnic forum
(thre links to google pages, where one could find the keyword related search
results, respectively, his .tel subdomains, which are highly ranked for
searching in Google, due to his smart usage of keywords within the header
section of telproxy).

In other words: A .tel domainm, or subdomain can have a better Google search rank (not speaking of page rank, which is a different thing, I would say), than any other non-dot-tel subdomain (.com, .org, mobile.company.com, etc.), due to
smart "keywording", and the .tel technology (DNS/direct storage and exchange
of information/ faster times, for lightweight pages which us DNS technology
in the way that Telnic does).

If I understood others correctly, than no subdomain gets a page rank, or it is
discriminated for page rank. And basically, subdomains have a disadvantage
about Google indexing them.
But the given examples of .tel subdomains show me, that we can boost them for
search engine seachability (SEO), by using the extended space in the header
of telproxy, for inserting/entering/listing as many smart and multiplied
keywords, as possible.

So, it could be also simplyfied: More matching keywords, to match with search
terms = better SEO.

It has been so often the question: "How can I improve SEO of my .tel
domains?": And this may be the answer, now.

Further more: If you ask: "How can I improve SEO of my .com, .org, etc.?":
I say: Your SEO of your .com can befefit, if you have a related .tel domain
(same domain name for .tel, as well as a copy of that .tel domain on the
existing websit, under "contact us"). Because, often a small business .com
website does not get found, in Internet, but its related .tel domain does,
within reasonable time. With higher amounts of website visites, the website
will get ranked better, as well (a .tel domain is not a website, but a
webpage, and is not about web content, but about contact information).

What I am highly interested at the moment, is every thing about mobile phone
content, and making mobile content friendly for users. There are a few ways,
and I am trying to figure out, what "Firefox Mobile" can offer towards that.

Nota Bene!: There is a direct relation, if you will, between "new .tel page for mygreencompany" and "website found (mygreencompany)".

Getting the idea from the brain to the page (mind map, or diagram, etc.)

Quote:
"Thank you printing this article and the interactive media that accompanies it. I did indeed have a very difficult time deciphering Dickens’ handwriting, which bothers me because I used to be very good at understanding someone else’s faulty (or even wretched) penmanship. Nevertheless, it was stimulating for me as a writer to see that, under pressure, even the best authors can have problems getting the idea from the brain to the page. Thanks again!"

"Google Wonder Wheel" makes searching enjoyable and time effective at the same time.

About:
The wonder wheel is meant to provide a more visual display of relevant search terms and keywords for the user. This tool is a built in mind mapper with the intention to sort out search results in a logical way of relevancy creating a visual wheel of terms that can make your searching enjoyable and time effective at the same time. If from some reason the google wonder wheel is not yet available in your local google search, give it some more time as development in other languages is taking place.

How To:
Enter your key word or phrase and perform a search.
After submitting the key word or phrase you would like to search for, click on the “show more options” link on the top left side. The results will be divided in to two screens.
Clicking on the Wonder wheel link will now create a sun shaped circle of terms, all related to your original search. Your key word or phrase is the main phrase, since it’s the one we looked for and you can find other related keywords to this search on the sun beam. Now your display will show the Google Wonder Wheel tool on the left side and the Google search results on the right side.
Now the fun starts. You can navigate your way around the relevant key words and phrases and find more and more results. It’s easy and the graphical effects make it fun.

A new look and handling for .Tel?

TelProxy could look and work like "community-landing.html", and everybody would start talking about the dot tel domain: http://www.telnic.com/community-landing.html

Inspired by Telnic's community-landing cycle/circle:

Below:
Icons and .tel logo are neatly integrated. Handling is fun and time saving. You will never have to scrawl down anymore, as all links are always displayed within a circle. Subdomains, are circles, as well. There are no more rect angular cards, but only round cards:

Below:
Definitely not cool. But only outdated and ugly, and hindering Telnic's success. It is not only all about technology, but also about looks. Here you see the "non-go-design" from Telnic. Not quite sure, why they only make their website cool, but not the dot tel domain itself:

A Visual Picture of our Financial Crisis

Getting familiar with visualisation and mind mapping, will help you understand all sorts of complex issues. Also in the field/sector of domaining, especially in the development and success of domain extensions, for example dot com, or dot net, or dot mobi, or dot .tel, and so on.

To find solutions, develope strategies, or to make conclusions, or to be able to see interim results, a mind map will be able to provide the needed visual "bird eyes view" of the whole situation, history, present, as well as a outlook for future movements, plans and strategies.

So, here is a example, how to visualise, and how to get a understanding, for a situation, which has a history, and a future, that may be uncertain:
To be able to do the right things in future, you better have understood the past, as well as the present situation. It is all about getting the pictures:

Quote from Scott/wallstats.com:
"The lack of spending is keeping our economy down, and causing inflation to take a major jump. Proper spending improves the economy and reduces inflation."

If you’ve been struggling to understand what exactly brought on the international financial crisis, struggle no more.

Freelance designer Jess Bachman has developed a wonderful “Visual Guide to the Financial Crisis” that provides a clear understanding of what happen.

One of the main reasons I like mindmaps is they illustrate how ideas relate to one another.

Well, Jess Bachman has taken this idea and given us all clarity on an issue that certainly impacts everyone.

The relation of .mobi to .tel. Easy ways to acces a dot mobi website on a mobile phone

(Of course, if you often use "sex.mobi", it is a no-brainer. But this article is all about mainstream usage, and the habits of the mainstream user.)

Now it makes a lot of sense, to have a mobile website, as well as a .tel domain, to match with your website(s). Here you can understand, why:

Showing the same constellation, but with a TCU (dot tel "Contact Us" page):

The main reason, why we should use a .mobi domain (or a link to our mobile website), whenever we can, if we have a .tel domain, is, because we can make a .tel domain point quasi twice to it.
(If we have only one .tel, but multiple .tel "Contact Us" pages (TCU's), we can multiple point to a mobile website.)
And this means nothing else, than that our .mobi domains can be used in the most efficient way.

This is "The Awakening of Spring", for all .mobi domain names, as well as for designing a website for mobile devices...

Interactive constellations with, or without .mobi:

(The Com can be replaced be a Org, a Net, or anything else.):
(Whereas Mobi or Com get found through Tel.):

.Tel + .Com

(Tel points to Com)
or:
.Tel + .Com + "Contact Us .Tel Page"
(Tel points to Com, which shows Tel on its site, as well)
or:
.Tel + .Mobi + .Com
(Tel points to Mobi, as well as to Com)
or:
.Tel + .Mobi + .Com + "Contact Us .Tel Page"
(Tel points to Mobi, as well as to Com, which shows Tel on its site, as well)
or:
.Com + "Contact Us .Tel Page" (+ .Tel)
(Com shows Tel, which points to other websites, as well.)
or:
.Com + "Contact Us .Tel Page" (+ .Tel) + .Mobi
(Com shows Tel, and Tel points to Mobi)

The ways to .mobi:

1.) .tel has a link to .mobi
2.) .tel has a link to .com, as well
3.) the contact page has a link to .mobi (.tel "Contact Us" page for existing websites)
4.) .com is reproducing its content in .mobi (the .com content is adapted to small phone screen)

1.) Is the easiest Way to access a .mobi (not having to remember the domain name).
2.) Another way to access a website (instead of direct way, via browser or search engine).
3.) access to .mobi: again, through a list of contact informaton (.tel "Contact Us" page on the website)
4.) This has to be given, but is not relevant to access .mobi.

Nota Bene:
The (.tel) contact information within TCU gets updated in realtime, as soon as you update your dot tel domain.
In other words: It is easy to keep your contact information on your website up to date.
You do not have to update your contact information on your website, from your website.
You can do it from your PC or laptop, via the corresponding .tel dashboard.
You can even do it from a iPhone, via the corresponding .tel dashboard.

Two of the lines/connections stand for "mirroring"
"Mirroring":
1.) .tel mirrors its content via TCU/.COM.
2.) .COM mirrors its content via .MOBI, with a (mobile devices-friendly layout).

Conclusion:
.tel pages help a lot, to access a .mobi website.

Comment:
If your .tel has a .mobi link displayed, your .mobi can be found directly via .tel. This way, you would be quasi bypassing your website (non .mobi website) to reach your .mobi. Or if you happen to mistakenly click on the main website link, you might get redirected to the existing .mobi website, if you are lucky. But just to make it clear: as you do know, of course, also here: you do need to have a ordinary, main website. But you don't have to visit it, if already .tel gives you the information, that you have a .mobi website, and offers it's website link, at the same time.

This shown domain constellation, is a no-brainer, when it comes to getting access to a .mobi website. Whereas, if you only have a ordinary website, plus a .mobi website, without any other useful additon, such as for example, a dot tel domain, your .mobi website can quasi only be found, if the user knows the .mobi domain name. That is one of the reasons, why dot mobi websites are not a "big runner / hit", till now. But things might change, as people are getting innovative and creative, and the cost of using a mobil phone, or smart phone is constantly sinking. As soon as using the mobile phone gets really cheap, you better be ready, for the "take off" of the dot mobi domain. And that will be pretty soon, as it looks like...

In the past, the question was often: "for what do I need a .mobi?" Or: "Why is .mobi not more successful?" Or, people think, that the dot mobi domain has already failed, etc.:
That is one of the main reasons, why I wrote this article. And to show and highlighten, that dot mobi has received big support from a newcomer: From the dot tel domain.

Some domainers express their opinion, stating, that the one, as well as the other of both mentioned "exotic" domains, have "failed":
Fact is, though, that they are both working and interacting nicely together. Like brother and sister. Like a nice team. A direct and smooth way to get access to mobile content: From .tel to .mobi, respectively, via .tel.

The constellation 4/4/4

Following, I explain you, what it is all about:

Definition of domain sites and pages

Szenario:
4 .com websites (blue)
4 .tel web pages (dark violet)
4 "Contact Us" .tel pages on the .com website (light violet, over blue)

But this is how it looks, really:

The constellation: 4/4/4:

This is how it really looks like:

This group constellation is basically built up like this:

.Tel + .Com + "Contact Us .Tel Page"
+
.Tel + .Com + "Contact Us .Tel Page"
+
.Tel + .Com + "Contact Us .Tel Page"
+
.Tel + .Com + "Contact Us .Tel Page"

But the ideal constellation looksl like this:

.Tel + .Mobi + .Com + "Contact Us .Tel Page"
+
.Tel + .Mobi + .Com + "Contact Us .Tel Page"
+
.Tel + .Mobi + .Com + "Contact Us .Tel Page"
+
.Tel + .Mobi + .Com + "Contact Us .Tel Page"

The main reason, why we should use a .mobi domain, whenever we can, if we have a .tel domain, is because we can make a .tel domain point quasi twice to it.

And this means nothing else, than that our .mobi domains can be used in the most efficient way.

Indeed, we could build up a very big group constellation, out of up to 50 domains, for example structured in this way:
Having 4 quad sub group constellations, instead of only triple sub group constellatons:

- Electric car network
- Electric car charging points
- Electric car supplies
- Electric car batteries

Imagine doing such a thing: This would give you a very mighty and successful big domain group constellation.

However, if we do not want to have .mobi domains in our constellation(s), we should at least have this solution:

instead of: .mobi, it would be:

business.com/mobi

respectively:

.com/mobi

using that extension, instead of ".mobi" (new: ".com/mobi").

But if your domains are prestigious, its got be short and look elegant: business.mobi instead of business.com/mobi

But it is up to you: If people only have to click on the link to your mobile website(s), it does not matter, how "beautiful" the link or domain looks like.

And: Maybe you even like to make a mobile devices-friendly layout for your website all your own, and all "hand work", instead of having a automated programm, that does it for you (example: "Instantmobilizer", from the .mobi registry). Then it would be something like: "fun and satisfaction, instead of elegance of the domain name".

Now, people say, that you can simply redirect people from your .com website to your mobile website, by redirecting: That might be fine. But it is better, if people also have the possibility to enter the name of your mobile website into a browser or search engine. Show people the name of your mobile website(s), so they can go to that website, whenever they want. And if they like to memorise the name, or put it into their electronic phone book: That is the advantage you have, over only redirecting.

Learn more:

http://woork.mobify.me/2008/07/tips-to-design-your-site-for-mobile.html

But lets go back, to our simpler version:

Again: Who is pointing at who?:

- pointer from .tel to related .tel
- pointer from .tel to other .tel
- pointer from .tel to related .com
- pointer from .tel to other .com

(The following links, go all from the "Contact Us" .tel pages.
And if you will, this is quasi also from a .tel, but is not.
But we could say, that we do have a total of "8 .tel pointer links", from which these are 4 of them:)

- pointer from .com to related .com
- pointer from .com to other .com
- pointer from .com to related .tel
- pointer from .com to other .tel

Would you like to visualise this, with our model?:
Sorry, but I think I can't do it, with this mind map system.

But you could make a color copy, and draw the lines, your self.

.

However: I think it might work...:

Drawing the lines:
Put the instructions aside of the mind map:

----------
second copy: Is this one complete, now?:

Technical problem: Some lines, I was not able to draw, and some lines got erased /wiped out, during the saving process.

Anyway: I guess, you got the message and idea.

NB: In this model, .com always point via TCU(P) (.Tel "Contact Us" Page).

Cheers, have fun!

Attachement:

Here is another screen shot, which shows a few more lines, but it not much better:

.

.
P.S.:

Each triple (.tel + .com + TCP) could be a "group" of domains with the same name.

And each triple group could be related with each other, in meanings of related products, or services, or both.

Abstract:

Triple group 1
Triple group 2
Triple group 3
Triple group 4

Konkreter:

Triple group 1 = Smoking lounges
Triple group 2 = Cigar lounges
Triple group 3 = Cigar shops
Triple group 4 = Aged cigars

Or you could have:

- Tobacconists
- Cigarettes
- electric cigarettes
- Cigarette lounges
.
Etc., etc.
.
Or:

- Electric car network
- Electric car charging points
- Electric car supplies
- Electric car batteries

Etc., etc.
.
But you could also have a very big group, with only one .tel domain:

Group = (1 .tel + 1 .com + 1 .de + 1 .net + 1 .org + 1 .info + 1 .mobi + 1 .tv + 1 .co.uk):

Constellation: 1/4/4:
Or:
Constellation 1/Multi:

This group constellation is basically built up like this:
(Nota Bene: Each TCU is pointing to .mobi. So you can well imagine, that your .mobi website will be used / visited / viewed. Of course, .tel is pointing to .mobi, as well.)

.Tel + .Mobi + .Com + "Contact Us .Tel Page"
+
.Com + "Contact Us .Tel Page"
+
.Com + "Contact Us .Tel Page"
+
.Com + "Contact Us .Tel Page"

(The .Com can replaced be a Org, a Net, or any other domain extension.)

Example of a group, without the theory:

Comments:

Looking at the above group, having your "insider knowledge", gives you a whole new view, understanding and valuation, of domain groups, which have strong relations between the domains within the group.

TCU's (.tel "Contact Us" pages) are pages you already have, if you have dot tel domains.
Every dot tel domain includes a TCU. And the idea is, that you do integrate it within your existing website(s).

A TCU: you cannot get/buy separetly: It comes with your .tel domain. You have got it already: All you need to do, is use it. At the moment, you can get a TCU by either pasting a PHP, or a JavaScript code within your website script. A TCU is just another webpage, but a very useful one.

It is smart,if you get familiar with the .tel "Contact Us" page.
Some domainers don't get it, and think that a .tel domain, and a .tel "Contact Us" page are the same. But they are not. You have your .tel domain, and can quasi put a copy of it on your existing website. Not too confusing, is it?

If you have a group constellation "1/4/4", or "1/Multi", you can boost your business even more, than if you just would use a .tel to boost:
The TCU's make your constellation interactive. And each domain interacts in a variation of differnt ways. The more interactivety you can "build in"/create, the greater your chances are, to be found within a search engine (Google, for example). The end effect is, that your page rank goes up, as well as the daily page views, for each of your domains. You are simply doing things very smart...

Some domainers prefere just to buy a ".com" domain, for maybe $5000, whereas a whole group might be worth $500'000.

Values might change, and domainers might think smart...

This blog might interest you, as well:
Telmanager: Managing a domain portfolio by using multiple virtual desktops:
http://telmanager.blogspot.com/

.

One can use a .tel domain, nearly for every need or cause within our every day life.

A webshop, that not many people would be able to find, gets found, if a .tel domain points to it.

Basically, one can use a .tel for anything one wants to improve, sell, create, construct, build, deliver, promote, etc., etc., same as with website. Because you get found, at first, and then people see, where you are pointing to. And it then might be your (.com, .mobi, .org, etc.) website, that does a big part of the rest of the job (shop, for example).

The magic formula is:
(The Com can replaced be a Org, a Net, or anything else.):

A surfer, looking for information, will be glad to klick on a .tel, because he will expect to find links to other related sites, as well as a email address, etc., and some basic info, about the company.

If there are .tel domains on a list, people will tend to click on .tel domain names first, because they know, that they will find all info on one page, at first attempt and click.

A dot tel domain can be:

A "Pointer to websites" + a "Contact informaiton page"
or:
A "Contact Us .Tel Page" on a website, which offers contact information, and points to further websites.

Now, dear reader, you are allowed to explaine me the potential and power of .tel: I will listen...

P.S.:
If you will want to link your domains this way (one way, or the other way), you will most likely do good, to use a mind map...

The next step will be, to color your "pointers" (if you have a mind map that can do that). Otherwhise, make a color copy, and draw them by hand, with colored pencils, or markers.

Mind you: If you do this sort of linking a few times, you will be really good at it. You will be a expert.
.

Excursion: The totalisation of daily visualisation

In addition to your conventional agenda, you add a quasi "mind map agaenda".

(Here we only show a simplified version. Quasi abstract.)

Idea:
The new type of agenda.
Priority, is the visualisation.
The tool, is a simple and easy to use mind map.
Mind mapping is about colors, too.
You are not only a scheduler (schedule), but also a artist.
You are not only a writer, reporter, blogger, columnist, but also a constructor.
So you are a artist and constructor.
And have to be accounter / book keeper (accounting), as well.

So how does your agenda look like?:

Activeties:
Flirtig
Art market
Domain market
eBay selling and buying
Accounting / Finance / Budgeting

Now try this on your iPhone!

Getting started: Definition of colors.

.
Decide, what sort of a szenario you would like to visualize with a mind map.

Decide, what color, each group, or possible also, each link-line, should have.
Other colors, for other things. Do not uses same colors, for differnt things.

Szenario:
3 .com websites (blue)
3 .tel web pages (green)
3 "Contact Us" .tel pages on the 3 .com websites. (orange)

What we also should have, are colors for each sort of pointer-link:

- pointer from .tel to related .tel
- pointer from .tel to other .tel
- pointer from .tel to related .com
- pointer from .tel to other .com

(The following links, go all from the "Contact Us" .tel pages.
And if you will, this is quasi also from a .tel, but is not.
But we could say, that we do have a total of "8 .tel pointer links", from which these are 4 of them:)

- pointer from .com to related .com
- pointer from .com to other .com
- pointer from .com to related .tel
- pointer from .com to other .tel

So: how many colors would that make:

Blue, green and orange, plus 8 other colors: makes a total of 11 colors.

the szenario shall then show you, how you can get 18 possible pointer-clicks, all by using links which are displayed on a .tel proxy interface.

Next step, will be, to choose your favorate mind map: I recommend "bubble.us".
Another step, will be, to set up the bubbles, which are replacements for domains.

So you will have displayed:

9 bubbles, within 3 different colors.

8 different pointer lines, within a differnt color, each.

The total amount of pointer lines, will be about: 18.

So: just read this a few times, before you get started, and then you should be quite well prepared.

In my next post, I will show you, how that works, within a mind map, by putting these details "on a sheet of paper".
.
P.S.:
According to the amount of pointer-links, we should upscale the amount of domains, to:

Szenario:
4 .com websites (blue)
4 .tel web pages (green)
4 "Contact Us" .tel pages on the 3 .com websites. (orange)

And should therefore get a lot more possible pointer-links, than "only 18".

So: to show all this, and to be able to understand it better, as well as to be able to visualize it (and store it in your other side of your brain, the creative side), you use a mind map.

So, if any one puts mind maps in question, or does not see the use and sense, you could explaine...

But as so often, with computer science: it is better to try it out yourself, and do some "try and error", and learn by doing, instead of reading a whole theory book, but not able to keep all about you read in your mind.
With the support of using a mind map, this does indeed become possible, and you could be able to memorise, all that you have read and studied.

You would be able to memorize all sorts of complex and complicated structures and layouts, etc., as well as to understand them (better).

But then again: memorizing, is a lot more easy and fun, if you just try it out.
.
...Enough of talking! Next time, we will just do it!... As we now have a idea, about how we can proceed.

Mind you: If you get to be really good at this sort of ("crazy") stuff, you will be able to make the dot tel domain big. And fun and easy to use, for mainstream.
.
P.S.: Better stay at home, on every ".13", if you can, because it is a unlucky number.
Play around with .tel: You won't be taking any risks...

.Tel and Mindmapping

Experiment: .Tel-Visual.

.
